Setting up Perforce
Host must download this:
Download Helix Core (P4D) | Perforce - Install this first

Admin and host must download this
Helix Admin Tool (P4Admin) | Perforce - Install this last

All remote pcs and host must download P4V
CHECK: If you installed P4A correctly you should have Helix Core Server (name of the service) on your Services running
To check if it is on services, type Services on you computer search then scroll down to see if Helix Core Server there

After install correctly the host can open P4Admin (P4A)
To start a connection
Go to the Connections tab>Open Connection> Type in your IPv4 address [you can go to command line and type in ipconfig]> make sure to end the connection with port 1666 (:1666).
Your user name can be anything at the moment

Then create a depot by File>New>Depot>Name your depot

Now, we have to set up a forwarding port from your Wifi router. To find it, type ipconfig on your command line and the IP address should be listed as Default Gateway.

*** NOTE this is how remote PC connect to you network because they have to go through your wifi IP address. The Wifi IP address will forward the remote PC to your server computer. The host can connect either to their wifi or desktop server IP address if the server is using the same wifi***

Open a browser and type in the Default Gateway number. Pray that you know the password and user name for the login because I had to enter a lot of special characters. The password is usually provided by your wifi router which is different from your regular wifi login.

After praying and login successfully, find Port Forwarding. This path will be different depending on router. I found mine under my Advanced Setup.

Add Custom Service> Service name should be FTP> Server IP address should be your IPv4 and the Port is 1666

*** NOTE: there may be an issue for remote connection because Firewall might block the service ***
-Go to Window Defender Firewall with Advanced Security>Inbound Rule> New Rule> Select Port> Select TCP and put in 1666 and that should be done.

After this you should be done setting up the network! If it aint then contact me or something...
On to the next step…. Sighed
